Legal Document BindingDuckabush Bookbindery has been serving the Bookbinding needs of the corporate legal profession and advertising agencies in the Seattle area and around the U.S. for over 25 years. We specialize in two main types of legal binding. They are, hand sewn hard cover books and three-ring binders. The maximum thickness of documents for sewn bound books is three inches. The three-ring binders are made to hold 1 1/2, 2, 2 1/2 and 3 inches of paper. We also do special design and project construction. We use Library Buckram for most legal binding projects, but other materials are available. The lettering on the spine and or front is usually stamped in gold (goldstamping or hotfoil stamping) but can be stamped in almost any color. A pocket to hold a CD can be placed inside the front of the bound (sewn) book or the three-ring binder. With your camera-ready artwork (better than 300 DPI) your clients corporate logo can be hot stamped on the cover. There is an extra charge for the stamping die and the hot stamping. We make conservation boxes for your valuable books and documents. The normal turn around time is two weeks. Rush jobs are not an extra charge. We can pick up documents to be bound, or they can be delivered by UPS, Fedex or USPS mail. A cover letter should be sent with the job. It should explain all the details of the project, including color of cloth (see samples), instructions for stamping, a list of individual names to be stamped on the bindings and any other information that we should know about the project. For three-ring binders, we don't need the documents, we just need to know their thickness. All information can be E-mailed. |
